What are your plans? – Build fencing? … Furniture? … Barn? … Even a home?
With the efficiency and capability that come with narrow-kerf bandsaw technology, the LumberLite® ML26 is ready for your kind of project. Its 26-inch (65cm) diameter log-capacity and 17” (42.5cm) throat opening tackle all of your mid-size milling projects with ease.
Stable Platform
You can count on the durability and rock-solid stability of the LumberLite® ML26 portable sawmill. First, start with the all-steel, laser-cut bed. Couple that with its rigid 4-post carriage frame. Factor in the superior strength and torsional stability of Norwood’s patented laminated sawhead construction – the backbone of this little workhorse. The result? – Excellent milling stability and accuracy – through hardwoods and softwoods.
And, it’s quality-built in North America with cutting-edge fabrication technologies by skilled tradesmen in U.S. and Canadian facilities.
Fun and Easy to Operate
Time-saving patented auto-sawhead locking dramatically reduces lumber-cutting cycle times – no tedious locking and unlocking the sawhead at every cut. Single action throttle-lever simultaneously engages the clutch to further reduce your workload. And you’ll appreciate the adjustable-height operator’s station which helps ensure that your milling experience is as comfortable as it is productive.
Pick Your Power. Pick Your Attachments.
Whether you're looking for economy, or more muscle, the LumberLite ML26 has the power-plant you need:
9hp (279cc) OHV Honda GX-Series for reliable performance that’s easy on your wallet.
13hp (389cc) OHV Honda GX-Series delivers solid, smooth horsepower.
And, the ML26 gives you the tools to grow your mill right away or over time. Increase the board length you can mill. Or add a trailer system and tow your sawmill from site to site. Or add other capacity-boosting functions such as toe boards, log loader or board offrollers.
Industry-Leading Sawmill Value
No other sawmill in its class comes close to touching the value-to-investment ratio of the LumberLite® ML26. Factor in the ML26’s superior fit and finish (quality-built in North America– not China, Taiwan or Poland), capacity, patented time-saving functions, available optional portable sawmill attachments, brand-name reliability and low price – there’s no question, the ML26 is the best sawmill value around … period.

In mid-2013, Norwood Sawmills rebranded the LumberLite ML26 as the LumberMate LM29 band sawmill. The new larger LumberMate LM29 is modeled after Norwood’s popular LumberLite ML26-series sawmill. The LM29 features larger log capacity, almost 50% wider maximum board size and an adjustable guide.
Like its predecessor, the new LumberMate LM29 is very easy to use and can “grow-as-you-go” by adding optional attachments as your milling needs evolve. And, like every Norwood sawmill, the LM29 bandmill is quality-built in the U.S.A. and Canada.

Made in the U.S.A. & Canada– All parts in the LumberLite ML26 are quality-built in Canada and the U.S.A. by highly-trained, highly-skilled operators with cutting-edge fabrication and machining technologies. Norwood does not make anything in China, Taiwan or Poland, like some other companies.
Industrial-Grade Powder-Coat– Like all forestry equipment bearing the Norwood name, the LumberLite is protected by industrial-grade powder-coat – electrostatically-applied, thermoset polymer cured under heat to create a hard finish which is much tougher than the old-fashioned spray paint used by other companies which is more prone to premature rust, chips and scratches.
Smooth Sawhead Feed – Guide the sawhead through the cut with finger-tip pressure – allows you to judge the best speed for smooth cuts through knots and denser core wood. No arm-numbing cranking.
Effortless Sawhead-Adjustment– Patented Norwood sawhead friction-winch system delivers easy, effortless vertical sawhead operation. Auto-locking sawhead eliminates two time-consuming operations at every cut – the ML26 looks after locking and unlocking the sawhead for every board you mill. That saves hours of wasted time and increases your production.
Blade-Guide Rollers– Precision-machined, hardened and zinc-dichromate-plated 1¼” blade-guide rollers each fitted with sealed double ball-bearings.
Sawdust Exhaust– Sawdust exhausts on far side of mill away from you – not at your feet and in your shoes like other sawmills.
Leveling Feet– Equipped standard with leveling feet for quick, accurate bed leveling.
Blade Lube System– Keeps the saw blade pitch-free in softwoods. Delivers water directly to the blade at the point of entry into the cut. Large custom-molded water bottle with wide-mouth filling port for easy refilling.
Comfort-Height Operator’s Station– Standard on the LumberLite ML26, the convenience and comfort of the ergonomic tilt operator’s station.
Easy Working Position– Elevate as desired for easy log loading or add the optional trailer system with support legs.
Log-Clamping System– Screw-crank log-dog and opposing dual vertical-adjust log-rests firmly clamp logs in the round, cants and boards as thin as 1” (2.5cm). 3-function log rests simplify clamping both logs in the round and squared cants, and rotating logs without hang-ups. Micro-precision log-rest adjusting bolts guarantee perfectly true 90-degree cuts.
Smooth-Action Carriage Wheels– Large CNC-machined upper carriage wheels fitted with sealed double bearings key to smooth, effortless rolling action. Rubber under-track wheels for extra security and stability.
Versatile– Backed by the brand-name company you can trust, the LumberLite ML26 comes standard as the most reliable, easiest-to-use sawmill in its class. And it gets better … At any time … now, or ten years from now, you can add sawmill attachments to grow your ML26 – add extra extensions to mill longer logs, trailer system, log loading/rolling system and more. So you keep all of your options open.
